Byron spent the first month of 2003 with the Pennsylvania Road Warriors, then after one game with the New Jersey Jackals was claimed off waivers on June 13 by the Coastal Bend Aviators of the Central League. 

UPDATE: Byron joined the Lincoln (Nebraska) Salt Dogs of the Northern League on August 1, 2003.

 

We got this picture of Byron sporting his 2002 championship pin at a Road Warriors-Patriots game in May.

Class of 2003

Al was traded to the Camden Riversharks on June 7, and he quickly made the jump to the Tennessee Smokies (AA) in the Cardinals’ organization.

For 2003 Jimmy is with the Hiroshima Carp in Japan.  We caught up with him at a game in Tokyo against the Yomiuri Giants, where we gave him his 2002 championship pin!

Class of 2003 Francisco's 2003 season ended prematurely when he fractured his foot.

Jose was signed by the Kansas City Royals on June 11 and went straight to the majors, starting against the San Francisco Giants on June 15.  See the box score for Jose's first MLB game of 2003 here.

Class of 2003 Nina signed with the Dodgers in July 2003 and joined their A-level affiliate in Vero Beach.

Juan was with us for only a week or two, but we managed to get this snap of him!  He's now a Pennsylvania Road Warrior, playing almost every position!

After spending the first 6 weeks of the 2003 season with the Bears, Jack was signed on June 11 by the Lakewood Blue Claws (A) in the Philadelphia Phillies’ system.

 

UPDATE:  Jack was traded on July 9 to the Padres single-A affiliate in Lake Elsinore, California.  Click here to read the related story.
