Homestead, Florida (April 28, 2004):  The Bears won their second game of the pre-season today, defeating the Bridgeport Bluefish by a score of 5-4.  The game began after a 90-minute rain delay, but once it was under way three Bears hitters put the ball out of the park:  Eddie Lara, Pete Maestrales, and Michael Coleman, all veterans of the 2003 team.

"The guys look just as good as I thought they would," said bench coach Pedro Sierra after the game.  "The pitching looked pretty good, everybody's doing what they're supposed to."

With today's win, the Bears have a record of 2-0.  On Thursday morning they battle the Long Island Ducks, the only other undefeated team in the pre-season.

21 Bears participated in today's game, with Wil Quintana and Chris Van Rossum playing the whole game.  Here is the list of all the players who were in the game, with the starting lineup indicated with an "S."
